Fuel Injector Cleaning, Testing, and Flow-Balancing Services

  1. Complete Restoration Services
    Complete Restoration Services
    $57.95 (USD)
    Quickview

Select this service if you want the injector to be tested, cleaned, and returned to original factory condition. Our full cleaning and reconditioning service includes the following:

    • Initial testing: All testing procedures are performed as outlined above.
    • Ultrasonic cleaning: Following initial testing the injectors will be transferred to an ultrasonic cleaning machine. Injectors are submerged in the ultrasonic bath of cleaning solution while connected to injector drivers to pulse the injectors while being subject to ultrasonic waves. Simultaneous pulsing and back-flushing work to remove debris and deposits from inside the injector.
    • Re-test after cleaning: The injectors will be reconnected to the test bench for testing to ensure they are performing to original specifications.
    • Flow data sheet: You will receive a data sheet which contains before and after data for each injector we test. This will also show the variance in flowrate across your set of fuel injectors.
    • New seal replacement: We will replace all standard injector o-rings and seals with new viton rubber parts.
  2. Flow Testing

    $24.95 (USD)

Select this service if you just want to see if the injector is working properly. Our test service includes to following:

    • Leak inspection: injectors are inspected for leaks both on the injector body and at the output nozzle. An injector that is leaking from the nozzle will require reconditioning service to operate properly.
    • Resistance testing: We test the condition of the injector coil, by measuring the resistance (in Ohms) across the terminals of the injector connector. Injectors are classified as being either low-impedance or high-impedance, and test results should land within a specific range for each injector type.
    • Spray pattern analysis: We evaluate the spray pattern of the tested injector. If there are deposits on the nozzle or debris inside the injector, the spray pattern can be adversely affected. This can be corrected by ultrasonic, internal cleaning of the injectors.
    • Dynamic Pulse Test: injectors are tested at varying pulse widths ranging from idle to full-throttle operation. Any abnormalities are likely cause by internal debris and will require our reconditioning service.
    • Static Test to verify injector flow rate: injectors are tested at a precisely controlled pressure at 100% duty-cycle (wide open flow). Even if the spray pattern isn’t affected by deposits, it is still possible for internal deposits and/or corrosion to obstruct the fuel flow and cause variations in flow rate. If your injectors do not flow the correct amount or do not match each other well, reconditioning service will typically correct the imbalance.
    • Flow data sheet: You will receive a data sheet which contains the tested results for each injector we test.
